American Apparel isn't just about Lycra body-con dresses and disco pants y'know. It's also channeling a seriously sexy ’70s vibe at the moment – here are some of my favourite retro bits from their Autumn/Winter collection...
I'm a sucker for a leather skirt, and in true American Apparel style this one is very bold and sexy. To give it a more wearable daytime vibe I teamed it with this clean Jersey turtleneck. They come in every colour this one would be great to wear dressed up!
The skinny high-waist jean is the ultimate effortless chic look. I teamed this pair with my Vans and a simple cropped jumper, I would add a duster coat to this look for a perfect mid- week/errands running outfit.
American Apparel do sexy tennis skirts well and they are my ultimate South East London (can't be bothered to make effort), chuck on a vintage T-shirt outfit! And I feel great everytime! I've teamed it with a cosy jumper and pulled up my This is Welcome socks to add to the tennis vibe!
I loved the colour of this cord skirt mixed with the chunky woollen jumper, to keep it very AA I kept bare legs and teamed it with clogs which I love! I think this outfit would look great with thigh-high boots too, especially teamed with the boho floppy hat to keep the ’70s vibes!
Another one of my all time favourite skirts, this time I went for a neutral colour so it didn't clash too much with the striped Jersey. To keep the old school Cali AA vibe and teamed the whole look with Vans.
The colour of this wrap top is super ’70s, I loved it! It had to be paired with the blue denim popper skirt! Add a chunky fur coat to this outfit and you're ready for autumn AA style!
